As far as I recall, you can install (and authorise) on more than one computer, but the licence only allows use of one computer at any one time. Technically you can install on another computer and that will require you to authorise the install on that computer using the product manger on that computer using your login.ģ. whatever such things always feel horrible when things go wrong.Ģ. Probably need to go grovelling on hand and knees asking if you can please get the lost authorisation back please…. What happens if the computer went splat and you can’t use it to do the deauthorise from that computer is in the lap of the gods. From memory, so I may be wrong, you got 10 possible authorisations initially so this is why you want to deauthorise if you are disposing of the computer. If you don’t then As I understand it you will lose one of the authorisations you were allocated when you bought the software.

If you are getting a new computer and disposing of the old one, then I believe you need to uninstall the software or more specifically deauthorise the install on the old computer using the product manager software on that specific computer. This is what helped me with this issue, I suspect if you give this info to an IK support person over the phone they should be able to help you out more efficiently. The PTLE fix was even tougher - required a separate installation and registration.

There was much head wringing at IK before we arrived at this fix. It doesn't hurt to uninstall your current Amplitube and reinstall a fresh copy before doing this. You'll have to do a search for 'ATLEpref.txt' and either enter the proper numbers or switch it out with a new one from IK. There was a lot of email and tech support phone calls but they were finally able to help me get them both working properly so they shouldn't beįor the LE 7.01 fix they finally had to send me a preference text document with all the correct registration info (serial number, digital ID, etc.) and substitute it for the flawed document in your current prefs folder.

I had a double issue - trying to get Amplitube LE to run in both LE 7.0.1 and ProTools LE 6.4.

It's like deja vu all over again.I went thru the exact same thing with IK about a month ago.
